One of the drivers talks to the camera and explains that he is testing out 'new formula' Castrol oil with liquid tungsten which lowers the level of destructive friction in your engine. 2. Similar to above, but with a v/o explaining that four Castrol workers undertook the 'outback Run' of driving 12,000 miles to test Castrol's 'new formula' oil. With a cheesy song. Footage of Ayres Rock - raining? 3. Man in his garage changing the oil of his car as wife watches and goes shopping, footage of a frosty windscreen and a traffic jam and towing a caravan - Castrol GTX. Tagline 'Put heart in your car'. 4. An advert for the 'Great Motoring Extravaganza' which is to be held between 1-11 August 1974 at Olympia to celebrate 75 years of Castrol. Contains archive clips from 'Wheels, Wings and Motors'. 5. 'Mr Collier' A Morris minor being compared to a Bentley Continental and neither has had a re-oil, as both have always used Castrol Oil. Tagline 'Put heart in your car'. 6. 'Mr Jones' A man doing various jobs in his car; driving children, etc in all types of weather thanks to Castrol GTX, while a neighbour looks on. 7. 'Neighbour Jones' Same characters as previous commercial but the man featured in main character this time replaces the neighbour's car's oil with Castrol GTX, without giving the neighbour a chance to say anything. 8. Focusing on the history of Castrol oil and it's various achievements and innovations with archive clips of old cars to its new guise as Castrol GTX. 9. As above. 10. As No. 5 but with different ending with a can of oil sitting on the passenger's seat. 11. Another archive clip advert, focusing more on motor racing clips, with the tagline 'heart of an oil is no overnight affair' for the new Castrol GTX. 12. As above but slightly different picture of an oil can at the end 13. Another version of No. 3, but this time the wife brings the man a cup of tea. 14. 'Weightlifter' lifts a heavy weight and the v/o compares it to a car undergoing stress and strain when it is driven and why it needs Castrol GTX. Also, footage of a shot putter and javelin thrower. Tagline 'Put heart in your car'. 15. As above 16. As above but shorter 17. As No. 15 18. Safety advert about checking brake fluid every 18 months with a family nearly driving into a truck as an example of why you should! Advertising Castrol Girling Universal Brake and Clutch fluid. 19.
